As real estate agents we are constantly trying to connect people to the right property; one which meets the needs and wants of the customer and caters for the ever-changing circumstances in people’s lives.
According to the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ), although the market has seen a drop in sales volumes for lifestyle blocks over recent months, the national sale price for lifestyle blocks has continued to increase to record levels.
The shortage of supply and steady demand for well set up lifestyle blocks has influenced the increase in sale prices.
In the current market, there is a demand for affordable entry-level lifestyle blocks which are well priced and have the potential to add value over the long term.
Demand is likely to exceed supply for rural and lifestyle blocks which are well set up.
Properties which are favourably located with good sheds, fencing, quality soils and water supply, are likely to achieve a better sale price than a property that needs a lot of work and has inadequate infrastructure.
